InternshipsTo help and assist the development of the next generation of young talents, Rusneftegaz offers a comprehensive internship scheme for those who aspire to one day become established oil and gas professionals. The program is a valuable opportunity for pupils, students and recent graduates to acquire practical experience and learn more about a career in the industry, including the various operations and processes involved in extracting, refining and trading both crude and refined petroleum products. Whilst these insights may only be a brief two-week work experience for those under the age of sixteen, an internship could also comprise a full twelve-month placement for an undergraduate to expand their technical and theoretical knowledge. These skills can ultimately be utilized in a variety of functional settings, such as in commerce, engineering, environmental sciences and geology. During longer arrangements in excess of sixteen weeks, those currently enrolled in university or technical college will be fully immersed in the challenges and complexities of working in a growing enterprise. Throughout such internships, successful applicants will be assigned to a specific department or project, engaging in collaboration with proficient specialists on a plethora of substantial tasks. This is not limited to, but could include assisting with drilling operations, undertaking geological research, analyzing data and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations. During this timeframe, there may be opportunities to change to an alternative area of interest upon request, subject to the agreement of all relevant parties.
In conjunction with their academic studies, all interns will receive a full curriculum of classroom-based tuition provided by Rusneftegaz. This shall provide time to discover the latest techniques and technologies utilized in the petroleum sector globally, including advanced reservoir modeling, horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing. Whilst such knowledge can be examined and learned with ease, our scheme also imparts opportunities for the development of important, additional skills, namely problem-solving, teamwork and verbal communication, the value of which is immeasurable. These traits will enable interns to network with both our own employees and other industry professionals, enabling greater understanding with regard to the various careers available in the oil industry when their placement with us draws to its conclusion. At such a time, each intern shall receive an extensive review performance evaluation of their tenure within the program, accounting for their skills, work ethic and adaptation to our corporate culture. Ultimately, it is for each individual to conclude if they wish to pursue a career within the field of oil and gas, although the most competent candidates may receive a full-time job offer from us if it is deemed appropriate. In certain circumstances, our organization has hired students who are yet to graduate, and in exceptional cases, have not yet submitted their thesis. It should, however, be noted that invitations to join Rusneftegaz permanently can and may be deferred until all qualifications have been completed at your chosen institution, depending on personal preference and mutual agreement between the applicant and our company. Whilst we actively encourage all youngsters to complete their studies, a role with Rusneftegaz allows for a role to be combined with either collegiate or technical education, ultimately allowing each member of our staff to fulfill their potential.
Notwithstanding the fact that the primary aim of our internship program is to grant candidates the opportunity to learn the mechanisms and processes at a growing company, it also aspires to impart relevant and meaningful professional skills that can be deployed in any commercial environment. To facilitate this goal, all interns are invited to enroll in a voluntary mentoring scheme, whereby this adaptation is assisted by an experienced professional from within our organization. We believe that this offer of comprehensive support shall enable junior staff to become more established and competent in their chosen field, whilst also broadening their knowledge and aiding their integration into our dynamic corporate culture. This arrangement, which is open to all our young personnel and not just those engaged in our internship scheme, is ongoing and has no designated termination date for each individual, allowing for each partnership to conclude organically in an appropriate manner. Such a unique provision is popular within our organization, as at present approximately one quarter of our staff is currently under thirty years old, a number that is forecasted to grow in the future.
