Rusneftegaz offers an extensive program of training for all personnel, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, innovative techniques and a comprehensive electronic learning package, offering over 250 tailored courses, to ensure that the maximum potential of our employees is fulfilled. Over 50% of all staff are enrolled in a personal development scheme at any time, including our illustrious management training scheme. The modular course is utilized to ensure the progression of future leaders within the Group, who will one day be able to make strategic decisions, solve complex and technical issues and adapt to changing scenarios. All of our academic training programs are designed with an internationalist outlook, analyzing current global trends within the energy industry and the responses to historical events.

Additionally, over 80% of Rusneftegaz’s engineers revised and or acquired practical skills through the medium of on-the-job training in 2019, with a focus on good practice in different situations and personal improvement. These classes, mostly held over the course of one day, can brief existing and prospective staff regarding alterations in health and safety procedures, or ways to operate new equipment or machinery. Similarly, under certain circumstances, personnel may be sent to one of our partner universities, including the prestigious Ukhta State Technical University, to undertake a more rigorous period of study. Rusneftegaz maintains comprehensive affiliations with many institutions, including the aforementioned, to pool resources and share research. This research, and all other accumulated knowledge, is then uploaded onto our company intranet, allowing expertise to be shared throughout the Group and our affiliates, partners and subsidiaries. This ultimately results in all of our employees being able to work symbiotically by understanding the nature and intricacies of the industry.
Rusneftegaz has configured a remuneration policy in order to influence and retain both prospective and current staff, but also to provide incentives for corporate development, including increasing annual revenue and improving market capitalization. All employees receive a generous base salary, in addition to other benefits of a variable value, defined within a stratum of payment bands. The majority of staff are paid within this structure, with an employee’s basic wage calculated upon consideration of the fulfillment of, and the complexity of, their contractual obligations, in conjunction with their education, experience and responsibilities. The values of base salaries are reviewed with multiple factors taken into consideration, including inflation and company revenues, when electing to adjust current pay rates. Similarly, Management routinely monitors the current labor market, and accordingly reviews whether the total remuneration package is competitive and aligned with other competitors within the energy industry. If it is believed that current salaries are inadequate by local standards, then wages may be raised arbitrarily.

The Group also offers annual bonus payments to encourage the fulfillment of company-wide targets and improve the personal performance of employees through extraordinary acts of commitment. Furthermore, these are also offered upon noteworthy achievements, often at the end of a month, quarter or year where results or efficiency is considered exceptional. The bonuses, which are tailored to individuals, may vary from cash sums to certificates, depending on the level of recognition deemed appropriate. Management is always actively contemplating whom next to pedestal as a bastion of success, including whom to nominate for out illustrious annual prize giving ceremony, where prizes are awarded for both the employee and the young employee of the year.

In addition to publishing the conditions for the payment of staff bonuses, the publication also sets forth other schemes to motivate workers to assist the Group in fulfilling our corporate targets.
